Since the acquisition of Twitter by Elon Musk in 2022, the platform has undergone significant changes. You may have noticed that it’s no longer called Twitter – it’s now X, and Musk aims to transform it into an “everything app,” offering users a wide range of features such as banking, calls, job listings, and video streaming.
The latest update from X is the introduction of a new feature that allows users to pick up where they left off in long videos. Elon Musk confirmed this feature in response to a post, likening it to the functionality offered by YouTube. This new feature is set to roll out soon and will be a welcome addition for users who find it frustrating to restart long videos every time they are interrupted.
Many of the recent updates and features introduced since Twitter rebranded as X have been tailored towards premium subscribers. This includes audio and video calls, which are now accessible on both iOS and Android devices. Additionally, X has expanded its subscription options to three plans:
Basic: Priced at $3 per month or $32 per year, this plan offers features like post editing, longer posts, encrypted DMs, and video downloads. However, it does not remove ads or provide users with a blue checkmark.
Premium: This plan costs $8 per month or $84 per year and includes all the features of the Basic plan plus a larger boost to your replies in the platform’s algorithm.
Premium+: For $16 per month or $168 per year, users can enjoy all the features of the Premium plan as well as a completely ad-free experience on X and early access to the newly introduced AI chatbot Grok.
Stay tuned for more updates as X continues to evolve into a comprehensive platform that caters to various user needs.
