New Google Photos Feature: Opt-Out of Faces in Memories for Enhanced Privacy!

Google Photos is a fantastic tool for organizing and revisiting your precious memories, thanks to its impressive facial recognition technology. However, there may be times when you no longer want certain faces appearing in your Memories. If you’ve ever cringed while scrolling through your photo library and stumbled upon memories you’d rather forget, you’ll be pleased to know that a solution could be on the horizon.

According to Android Authority, an upcoming version of Google Photos will introduce a “Show less” option for specific individuals in your photos. This new feature offers a more nuanced approach compared to the existing “Block face” option, which completely removes individuals from Memories and group shots.

Here’s what you need to know about this exciting new update:

– The “Show less” feature will allow you to reduce the frequency of a person’s appearance in Memories while still keeping their photos accessible in your main library.
– You can access this feature by navigating to the “People & Pets” section and selecting “Hide face from memories.”
– Google Photos will provide a clear pathway to manage this setting: Settings > Preferences > Memories > Hide people & pets.

Although this feature is not yet available in the public version of the app, Google is actively testing and refining it. While there’s no official release date yet, users can look forward to having more control over their Memories soon.

Small adjustments like these can significantly enhance your overall experience when reliving cherished moments captured in your photo collections. Stay tuned for updates on this exciting new feature from Google Photos!
