Phone Canada’s Threads: Testing New Features for Saving Drafts and Capturing Photos Within the App

Threads by Instagram, the alternative to Twitter (Now, X), has been steadily improving its user experience with new features since its launch last year. In the latest update, the app is testing the ability to draft posts and snap photos within the app.

Adam Mosseri, the boss of Instagram and Threads, announced this exciting test with a small group of users. The new features aim to enhance user convenience and engagement on the platform.

Here’s what you need to know about the latest updates:

– Drafting a post is as simple as swiping down on a post, making it available for future use.
– Users participating in the test will notice a camera icon in the post composer next to the media insert icon. This allows you to use your camera while creating a post, saving you time and taps.

Although these updates are well-received by users, there are still some requested features yet to be implemented. One such feature is sending Direct Messages, which has not been confirmed for inclusion on Threads.

Despite these pending features, Threads boasts an impressive 130 million monthly users and continues to grow. Mosseri and his team are dedicated to enhancing user experience and bringing familiarity from competing platforms to Threads.

Mark Zuckerberg envisions Threads as a potential powerhouse platform for Meta. The continuous addition of user-requested features may pave the way for Threads’ success in achieving this goal.
