Phones Canada Launches Exciting Swipe Gesture Feature for Liking Posts – Try it Now!

Threads is currently conducting official tests on a new feature that allows users to like posts by simply swiping on them. This initiative is part of the platform’s ongoing efforts to enhance user experience and efficiency. While some users had already noticed this feature being tested a few weeks ago, it has now been officially confirmed by key figures such as Mark Zuckerberg, Adam Mosseri (Head of Instagram), and the official Threads account.

At present, this feature is only accessible to a limited group of users as part of a controlled release. The primary objective behind this new functionality, according to Mosseri, is to empower users with more control over their Threads experience. By swiping right on a post, users can express their liking for it, while swiping left indicates disinterest in the content. Essentially, this feature enables users to curate their “For You” page by indicating preferences for specific content.

Some users have drawn comparisons between this swipe gesture and functionalities seen in third-party Twitter apps like “Tweetbot” or “Twitterrific.” Initially, the feature seemed exclusive to iOS devices when testing began earlier in the month. However, it remains uncertain whether Android users now have access to this feature as well. Given its limited availability, we are unable to confirm its status on Android devices at this time.
