Qualcomm has announced the launch of its new chipset, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, designed for mid-range smartphones. The new chipset will debut in smartphones from Honor and vivo, set to launch later this month.
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 boasts 60% AI performance improvement, 2.63GHz peak CPU speeds, and over 50% faster GPU performance. It is based on TSMC’s 4nm process technology and features eight Kryo processors. Additionally, the chipset supports up to 4K resolution displays, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and the Snapdragon X63 5G Modem-RF System offering up to 5Gbps download speeds.
The Qualcomm Spectra ISP supports up to 200-megapixel camera modules with 4K HDR video at 60Hz. The first devices powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor are expected to be unveiled on November 23 by Honor.
