Release Dates, Prices and Ordering Information for the Canadian Google Pixel 3a

Google’s Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL were recently announced, providing a more affordable option for consumers interested in the Pixel 3 line. These mid-range smartphones were introduced at the Google I/O conference and offered the same current-generation features as its counterpart, the Pixel 3.

Both the Pixel 3a and 3a XL were equipped with a Snapdragon 670 Octa-Core CPU, 4GB of RAM, a fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, NFC, and the latest version of Android 9 (Pie). The devices also boast the same 12.2MP rear-facing camera and an 8MP selfie camera as the Pixel 3, along with Night Sight and portrait mode AI software.

In terms of hardware specs, the Pixel 3a features a 5.6″ OLED screen with 2220×1080 pixels, while the Pixel 3a XL comes with a larger 6.0″ OLED screen and 2160×1080 pixels. The Pixel 3a and 3a XL both support 4G-LTE on Bell, Rogers, and Telus networks, but won’t support 5G technology.

The Pixel 3a and 3a XL are aimed at a lower price point while still offering top-tier features. While they may not have wireless charging or water resistance, the affordable price makes them an appealing option. And with free storage for all photos uploaded at full-quality to Google Photos, the limited 64GB of non-expandable storage isn’t quite as big a deal.

The newly released Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL have been met with great excitement, and we expect that they’ll become popular options for those looking for a more mid-range priced smartphone. Stay tuned for more information on these devices as it becomes available, and make sure to check back with us for the latest updates.
