Samsung Galaxy S22 devices are now receiving the One UI 6 beta program, bringing Android 14 to last year’s flagship model. The beta program is currently available in South Korea for the Galaxy S22 series, with plans to expand it to other countries and devices in the coming weeks.
This update includes several new features and improvements. One notable change is the revamped Quick Settings panel, which sports a new layout and larger icons. The Camera app has also received enhancements, and the Samsung Health app now boasts a more user-friendly interface. Additionally, users can expect a new camera widget, new Emoji, bug fixes, and performance improvements.
Furthermore, Samsung has released a small update for the Galaxy S23 lineup, which addresses a bug encountered when using the phone with a 6GHz Wi-Fi router. Currently available in India and South Korea, this update is expected to roll out to other markets soon.
Galaxy S22 users in South Korea can sign up for the One UI 6 beta program through the Samsung Members app. However, keep in mind that beta software builds are not the final version and may contain bugs. It is advisable to back up your data before proceeding with any beta software installation.
To enroll in the One UI 6 beta program, you can access the Samsung Members app. Please note that the available spots for the beta program are limited. The beta update has a size of over 3GB and includes the September 2023 patch. While installing the beta won’t erase your phone data, if you decide to exit the program early, you will need to go through the setup process again.
