While the Fold 6 did not see an increase in battery size, the compact Flip 6 received a nearly 10% boost in battery capacity. This, combined with a more efficient processor, piqued our interest to test it out and see how it performs.

Official figures from Samsung indicate significant improvements in battery life compared to its predecessor, the Flip 5:
– 23 hours of video playback on Flip 6 vs. 20 hours on Flip 5
– 68 hours of audio playback on Flip 6 vs. 57 hours on Flip 5

At Phones Canada, we conducted our own in-house battery tests on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and here are the results we obtained:

– Web Browsing Test: The Flip 6 lasted over 16 hours, showing significant improvement over previous generations which averaged around 12 hours.
– YouTube Video Streaming Test: The Flip 6 outperformed its predecessors with a score of 9 hours and 8 minutes, lasting two hours longer.
– Gaming Test: The inclusion of a vapor chamber in the Flip 6 resulted in better temperature management and extended battery life during gaming sessions, lasting over 10 hours compared to around five hours for previous models.
