Samsung Unveils Apple Watch Ultra and AirPods Alternatives at Galaxy Event • Phones Canada Updates

Samsung recently held its Galaxy Unpacked event, which has stirred up some controversy in the tech world. Critics are accusing Samsung of copying Apple’s product designs, specifically the Apple Watch Ultra and AirPods.

Popular YouTuber Quinn Nelson from Snazzy Labs took to social media to express his disappointment, calling Samsung’s new Galaxy Watch Ultra a “shameless copy” of an Apple product. He also pointed out that the Galaxy Buds 3 series are eerily similar to Apple’s AirPods.

Even The Apple Hub, with nearly one million followers, shared side-by-side images of Samsung’s new smartwatch and earbuds compared to Apple’s versions with a simple caption saying “Copy and paste.”

Major news outlets like Business Insider and The Verge have also joined in the criticism. Business Insider’s headline bluntly stated that Samsung’s new ‘Ultra’ watch and earbuds are “shameless Apple copycats,” while The Verge condemned Samsung for mimicking Apple’s in-ear design and stems with their Galaxy Buds.

Andrew O’Hara from Apple Insider expressed his disappointment, stating that seeing Samsung release a bunch of Apple clones is disheartening and a massive fail compared to where Samsung used to be.

While competition often leads to similar features in the tech industry, the accusations against Samsung suggest that their latest products may have crossed the line from inspiration to imitation.
