Samsung’s Newest Budget Phone Receives Android 14 Update

Samsung has been working hard to deliver Android 14 updates to a wide range of devices in a short period of time. Starting with its most recent flagships, the Android 14 rollout has quickly expanded to include the company’s budget-friendly devices.

A total of six affordable Galaxy phones have received or are in the process of receiving Android 14 updates: Galaxy A14, Galaxy A34, Galaxy A54, Galaxy A73, Galaxy M53, and now the Galaxy A24. According to SamMobile, the budget phone is now getting updated to Android 14 in the Middle East and North Africa countries.

If you live in those regions, you can check for the firmware version A245FXXU3BWK3 by heading to Settings / Software update / Download and install (if it shows up).

The One UI 6 update based on Android 14 for the Galaxy A24 may not include all the features that more powerful phones are getting, but it’s expected to include the important ones. Additionally, the update will also bring the November 2023 security patch along with One UI 6.

It’s important to note that Android 14 rollouts can take several weeks to reach all devices, so patience is key if it doesn’t show up for you right away. However, based on Samsung’s previous history, the company is typically quick to make its Android OS update available to everyone.
