Save Big on Galaxy S24 Ultra Titanium – 4x Less than iPhone 15 Pro Max at Phones Canada!

The Galaxy S24 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro Max both boast a titanium frame, adding durability and a lighter feel to the new phones. However, a recent test by Zack Nelson of JerryRigEverything put the Galaxy S24 Ultra to the ultimate test by setting it on fire to see how it holds up.

Similar to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s titanium frame stayed intact after being torched, showcasing its resilience. It’s important to note that the furnace used in the test did not reach temperatures high enough to burn titanium, but it’s still an impressive feat for both phones.

The exterior frame of the Galaxy S24 Ultra features a cosmetic border of titanium, with an inner structure made of aluminum and plastic acting as an intermediary layer. While Grade 5 titanium is used in the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s outer frame, Grade 2 titanium is utilized in the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s exterior frame.

During the test, Nelson was able to extract titanium from both phones, indicating that they use a similar amount of this durable material. However, he estimated that the iPhone 15 Pro Max uses $10 to $15 worth of titanium while Samsung utilized $3 to $5 worth of raw material. Keep in mind that additional costs are involved in shaping and casting these materials.

In conclusion, while both flagship phones feature a titanium exterior for cosmetic appeal and added durability, Apple’s custom solid-state diffusion process and higher quality titanium may give it a slight edge in terms of structural significance. Regardless, both devices offer impressive build quality and sleek design.
