T-Mobile Raises Prices on Older Plans, More Increases on the Way

Today, T-Mobile made an announcement that prices for older plans like Magenta, Magenta MAX, Magenta 55+, and others will go up by up to $5 per line. Some Sprint plans are also affected by this change. But that’s not all – there are more price hikes in store for customers.

According to The Mobile Report, T-Mobile will be increasing prices on Go5G 55 plans starting May 23. This includes the Plus and Next versions as well. Customers can expect to pay an extra $5 per month per line, with single-line plans seeing a larger increase.

Here’s a breakdown of the pricing structure for the impacted plans after the increase:
– Go5G 55
– 1 line: $60 per month with AutoPay
– 2 lines: $130 per month with AutoPay
– 3 and 4 lines: around $45 per month each with AutoPay

– Go5G Plus 55
– 1 line: $75 per month with AutoPay
– 2 lines: $110 per month with AutoPay
– 3 and 4 lines: around $55 per month each with AutoPay

– Go5G Next 55
– 1 line: $85 per month with AutoPay
– 2 lines: $130 per month with AutoPay
– 3 and 4 lines: around $65 per month each with AutoPay

The good news is that existing customers will not see a change in their rates; this increase only applies to new customers. If you’ve been considering signing up for any of these plans, it may be a good idea to do so soon before the changes take effect.

Fortunately, there is one plan that escapes the price hike – the Essentials Choice 55 plan will remain at its current price.

While this news may not sit well with many T-Mobile customers, CEO Mike Sievert can take pride in being ranked as the 16th highest-paid CEO in the US. Despite adding over half a million postpaid customers in the first quarter of the year, T-Mobile anticipates slower growth in the upcoming quarters due to these price adjustments.
