Steve Jobs’ signed check, dated 11,128 days before iPhone announcement, sold at auction

A $4.01 check, signed by Steve Jobs in 1976, was recently sold for $46,043 at an auction. This check was written more than four years before Apple went public and has caused quite a stir in the tech community. Additionally, a first-generation 8GB iPhone, still sealed in the box, was sold for $10,456. It’s interesting to note that without Radio Shack, there might never have been an Apple or an iPhone. Steve Wozniak used Radio Shack’s TRS-80 Micro Computer System to help him build the Blue Box, and it was during this venture that Wozniak and Steve Jobs became partners. Today, Apple is a $3 trillion company, and Radio Shack’s IP was recently sold to the Unicomer Group.
