T-Mobile continues to expand its 5G network coverage, with the latest upgrades being made in Upstate New York. The company has increased its 5G coverage to over 48,000 square miles in the region, thanks to the addition of nearly 400 new cell sites and upgrades to more than 800 existing towers over the last two years. Some of the areas that now have access to T-Mobile’s 5G network include Albany Airport, Clarkson University, Fair Haven State Park, Fort Drum, Lake Placid, and SUNY Plattsburgh. Additionally, major network enhancements have been made in Albany, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Erie, Monroe, Niagara, Onondaga, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and St. Lawrence counties. According to Luis Reyes, Vice President of Field Engineering for the Northeast Region at T-Mobile, these upgrades will better serve customers living in and visiting Upstate New York. T-Mobile also announced the opening of a new Customer Experience Center in Henrietta, and the expansion of retail stores across Upstate New York last year.
