Top 2020 Galaxy Budget Phone: Latest Battery Updates and Features!

Samsung has recently announced that the Galaxy A21s will no longer receive updates, marking the end of its software support journey. This budget-friendly phone from 2020 has been a favorite among users for its impressive battery life and decent camera performance.

While the Galaxy A21s had its shortcomings, such as a lackluster display resolution and weak loudspeaker, it still managed to attract a loyal following. However, Samsung has decided to discontinue updates for this model, aligning it with other 2020 devices that are limited to four years of support.

Previously, Samsung had extended its update policy to five years for newer models like the Galaxy S20. However, older devices like the Galaxy A21s will not benefit from this extended support. The device is currently running on firmware version A217FXXSCDXE2 with the May 2024 security patch.

Despite the end of official updates, current users should not panic. The Galaxy A21s will remain secure and functional for the time being. Most apps, including banking apps, are still compatible with Android 12 on this device. Additionally, Google Play system updates will continue to provide essential security patches for key components in the coming years.

While Samsung has not promised any future updates for the Galaxy A21s, users can rest assured that their device will continue to serve them well for some time. Keep an eye out for any potential announcements regarding software upgrades in the future.
