Unlike in the US, there are claims of a potential price increase for the Pixel 8 Pro in the UK.

According to recent reports, it seems that the prices for the Google Pixel 8 and the Google Pixel 8 Pro in the UK will be higher than their US counterparts. While the Pixel 8 Pro will maintain the same price as its predecessor, the Pixel 7 Pro, at $899, the Pixel 8 will see a price jump of $100, from $599 to $699.

Renowned tipster Roland Quandt shared this information on Twitter, stating that the UK base prices for the new Google products are as follows: £699 for the Pixel 8 and £999 for the Pixel 8 Pro. This represents an increase of £100 for the Pixel 8 compared to the previous model, and a significant £150 hike for the Pixel 8 Pro.

This pricing trend seems to extend beyond the UK, as French consumers will also face higher prices. The alleged prices for the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro in France are €799 and €1,099, respectively, which are both €150 and €200 higher than their predecessors.

In addition to the smartphones, the base price for the Pixel Watch 2 is rumored to be £349, a £10 increase from the current Wi-Fi version.

These price hikes may disappoint some consumers, especially considering the already premium price tags of Google’s Pixel devices. However, it remains to be seen whether these rumors are accurate and how customers will respond to the increased costs.
