This exciting tool can change backgrounds with presets like Sky, Golden Hour, and Stylized to give your photos a unique touch.

Originally exclusive to Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro devices, Google expanded the Magic Editor feature to older Pixel models in late May (including my Pixel 6 Pro) at no additional cost. Even non-Pixel Android and iOS users can access the Magic Editor for free, although there is a limit of saving 10 edited photos per month. The feature is easily accessible through the Google Photos app, where you’ll find a Magic Editor button when editing your pictures.

For those looking to save an unlimited number of edited images using the Magic Editor on non-Pixel Android or iPhone devices, signing up for 2TB of cloud storage from Google One (priced at $9.99 per month) is necessary. Android users should ensure their devices are running on Android 8 or later, have at least 4GB of RAM, and are equipped with a 64-bit chipset.

Samsung Galaxy device users can now enjoy the benefits of the Magic Editor feature as it rolls out to their devices. Compared to the Magic Eraser, this AI-powered tool offers improved background replacement when moving or deleting elements in your photos. Although there may be a slight delay during processing, rest assured that all edits are done through Google’s cloud servers for optimal performance.

While the Magic Editor is a fantastic addition to photo editing tools, other AI features like Samsung’s Live Translate have also shown great potential by enabling seamless conversations between individuals speaking different languages. Despite this competition in AI advancements, the Magic Editor remains a valuable tool for enhancing your photo editing experience instantly.
