Unlocking the Future: WhatsApp’s Locked Chats Synced Across all Linked Devices

WhatsApp has recently enhanced its privacy and security features with a new update that introduces a secret code to lock down chats. This exciting tweak adds an extra layer of privacy by hiding locked chats and requiring a personal code for access. Although currently only available on primary devices, there are hints that this feature may soon be extended to linked devices.

According to the reliable source for WhatsApp updates, WABetaInfo, the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.8.4 update on the Google Play Store suggests that WhatsApp is working on bringing the locked chats feature to linked devices.

If you take a look at the provided screenshot, you’ll see that WhatsApp is exploring the idea of supporting locked chats on linked devices in an upcoming app update. Users will be able to set up a secret code on their primary phone under chat lock settings to unlock these chats on linked devices. Once set up, locked chats will disappear from the chats list and can only be accessed through this privacy feature on linked devices.

This new feature for linked devices is a significant win for both privacy and user convenience. It ensures that locked chats remain synchronized across all devices, allowing users to easily access their protected conversations from anywhere without worrying about unauthorized access.

Currently, locked chats are restricted to the primary device, potentially compromising privacy on linked devices. The introduction of the locked chats feature for linked devices is in progress and will be included in a future update.

In addition to these exciting developments, WhatsApp has also introduced a new bottom navigation bar for smoother use and is testing a fresh look for its calling screen to make hanging up easier. Stay tuned for more updates from WhatsApp!
