Virgin Plus Now Offers Competitive Plans to Match Fido and Koodo • Phones Canada

Virgin Plus has recently adjusted their plans and pricing to align with competitors like Fido and Koodo, creating a more level playing field in the telecommunications market. Here’s a breakdown of Virgin Plus’ current bring-your-own-device plans:

– $39 for 20GB
– $44 for 40GB
– $49 for 60GB (with a $5 discount for 24 months)
– $65 for 75GB 5G

Notably, the $49/50GB plan has been removed by Virgin Plus, while the $54/month option now receives a $5 monthly discount, bringing it down to $49 for a limited time. The sole remaining plan is the $65/75GB 5G plan, distinguishing Virgin Plus from Fido and Koodo who do not currently offer 5G plans.

In comparison, Fido’s current plans mirror those of Virgin Plus:

– $39 for 20GB
– $44 for 40GB
– $49 for 60GB (with a $5 discount for 24 months)

Similarly, Koodo’s current offerings are as follows:

– $39 for 20GB
– $44 for 40GB
– $49 for 60GB

As we transition from summer to fall, anticipation builds towards Black Friday promotions where we may see further enhancements to these existing plans. Keep an eye out to see if Big Three flanker brands will rise to meet the standard set by Freedom Mobile’s pioneering $34/50GB 5G Canada-US plan, subsequently matched by Public Mobile.
