According to reports, Xiaomi has been working on a rival to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip since June, and it is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2024. In addition to this flip-style foldable phone, Xiaomi is also developing their fourth-generation foldable phone, set to be launched next year.
The latest rumors confirm Xiaomi’s plans to release the MIX Flip in 2024. However, it seems that the MIX Fold 4 may not be introduced at the same time. An insider on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo suggests that progress on the MIX Flip is faster, making it more likely to be unveiled first.
Furthermore, these rumors also indicate that both of Xiaomi’s foldable smartphones will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series processor. While it is unclear whether Xiaomi will opt for the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset or the previous generation, the latter would still be acceptable if the price is adjusted accordingly.
