A Promising Report Reveals Numerous Exciting Upgrades Expected for Apple’s iPhone SE 4

Rumors and reports about the next budget-friendly iPhone SE have been circulating for quite some time, but Apple’s plans for this device have remained unpredictable. According to an anonymous source cited by MacRumors, there is uncertainty about when Apple will unveil the iPhone SE 4, despite having some knowledge about the phone’s features and external appearance.

If this source is correct (which is still uncertain), the next-gen iPhone SE is expected to resemble the “vanilla” iPhone 14 rather than the older iPhone XR design, as previously rumored. This theory aligns with previous speculation from another source.

The iPhone SE 4 is rumored to feature an OLED panel derived from the iPhone 14, replacing the current LCD screen. It may also include Face ID technology instead of the outdated Touch ID fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port, and an Action button borrowed from the recently released iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. However, the inclusion of the Action button remains speculative.

Another expected improvement is a 48MP camera on the rear, a significant upgrade from the 12MP camera on its predecessor. However, it won’t match the power and versatility of the dual-camera system on the iPhone 15.

The launch date for the iPhone SE 4 remains uncertain, and there is even speculation that it may not be released at all. However, Apple is said to be actively developing multiple design options for the device, suggesting that it will eventually be available for consumers.

It is unclear whether Apple’s internally developed 5G modem will be featured in the final version of the iPhone SE 4. Apple has been working on its 5G modem but has relied on its partnership with Qualcomm until now.

Despite the waiting game, it is reassuring to know that Apple has ambitious plans for the iPhone SE 4, which will likely offer more than just an outdated aesthetic.
