For all currently active iPhone models, 77% are using iOS 17, while 14% have iOS 16 installed. Only 9% of iPhones still have an older version such as iOS 15 or earlier. Moving on to iPads, we see a similar trend in adoption rates. 77% of iPad models introduced in the last four years are powered by iPadOS 17, showing strong support for the latest operating system. For all active iPad models, 68% are running iPadOS 17, while 17% have iPadOS 16 installed.

It’s clear that Apple users value staying up-to-date with the latest software releases to get the most out of their devices. These adoption figures are based on data from iPhone and iPad models that completed a transaction on the App Store recently.
