Discover Exciting Winback Plans Launching in September at Phones Canada! Explore the Latest iPhone News

Bell Canada recently announced a price increase for select ‘winback’ plans, exclusive deals offered to entice customers back to the company. Starting on September 1, 2024, customers on the $40/100GB plan will see a $6/month hike in their monthly bill.

The reason behind this price adjustment, according to Bell, is their ongoing commitment to investing in top-notch services, reliable connections, and meeting the growing network demands of their customers.

If you are a Bell customer on one of these affected plans, be sure to check your email (including your spam folder) for notification of this change. The email you receive will outline the specific details of how your rate plan price will increase by $6/month.

Currently, Bell’s website displays a $80/month plan offering 150GB for 24 months. Comparatively, the $40 ‘winback’ plan provides half the cost with 100GB of 5G data – making it a rare find. It’s understandable that Bell is gradually adjusting prices for these lured-back customers as they aim to improve average revenue per user metrics for shareholders.

In recent times, we’ve witnessed Bell’s subsidiary Virgin Plus and Telus-owned Koodo make similar moves with wireless price increases and adjustments to select plans.
