Google Meet App Update: Annotate During Presentations!
Google has rolled out an exciting new feature for its Meet app – the ability to make annotations during presentations. This new feature is automatically enabled when users start presenting, making it easier than ever to collaborate and interact during meetings.
Here are some key points about this update:
– A new annotations menu has been added to the Meet app, giving users access to tools like a pen, disappearing ink, stickers, text boxes, and more.
– Users can now assign a co-annotator to their presentations, allowing for even more collaboration and engagement.
– The annotating and co-annotating features are available for various Google Workspace editions, including Business Starter, Enterprise Standard, Frontline Plus, and more.
For Android users:
– Annotations can be used when presenting the Entire Screen option. However, the co-annotation feature is not yet available but will be added in a future update.
For iOS users:
– Currently, annotations cannot be used when presenting. However, iOS users can still participate as co-annotators if appointed by a web user.
Availability:
– Rapid Release domains can expect to see this new feature within the next two weeks.
– Scheduled Release domains will start seeing the update rollout on April 25th and should be completed within 15 days.
