New Google Maps Update Allows You to Remove All Records of Your Visits, Searches, and Other Activity

Google is adding new features to Google Maps that will help users remember the places they’ve been to. The driving activity will now be stored on the device although users will have the option to update it to the cloud as an encrypted backup. After the update, Google will delete the information after three months unless the user wants to keep it for a longer period. These changes will be rolling out to Google Maps on both iOS and Android over the next year. Users will also be able to delete place-related activity from Maps, making it easier to delete searches, directions, visits, and shares. This feature will be available on both the iOS and Android versions of Google Maps over the next few weeks.
