New Moto Tag Item Tracker Hits Certification Site: Stay Connected with Phones Canada!

Phones Canada is excited to share the latest news about Motorola’s upcoming device, the Moto Tag. Recently, the TDRA Certification website revealed that the Moto Tag will have a model number of XT2445-1, with Motorola Mobility LLC listed as the manufacturer and Lenovo (Shanghai) as the organization behind it.

Here are some key points to note about the Moto Tag:

– The listing on the TDRA Certification website does not provide specific details or specs about the device.
– Motorola has been rumored to release a tag that works with Google’s Find My Device network.
– Competing with Samsung’s SmartTags and other third-party trackers, the Moto Tag will utilize Google’s Find My Device network.
– The Find My Device network leverages over one billion devices running Android 9 and later to help users locate their lost Android phones or tablets.

It’s important to mention that Apple’s AirTag operates on a different network and is not considered a direct competitor to Samsung, Motorola, and other tracker manufacturers using Google’s Find My Device network.

In addition, both Apple and Google have implemented alerts for iOS and Android users to receive notifications if a non-Apple tracking device is following an iPhone user or if an AirTag is tracking an Android user.

As we anticipate Motorola’s upcoming 2024 foldable line launch in the U.S., which includes models like Razr (2024) and Razr Plus (2024), there is speculation that the Moto Tag could be announced around the same time. The foldable devices are set to debut in China on June 25th under the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra names, so stay tuned for more updates on the Moto Tag as it continues to receive certifications.
