As the release of the Oppo Find X7 Series approaches, the rumor mill is churning out new leaks on a daily basis. In addition to the previously leaked specs suggesting impressive charging speeds, new leaks are now shedding some light on the camera specs for the series. Renowned tipster Digital Chat Station revealed the possible camera specs for the Oppo Find X7 Series via Weibo, and if his track record is anything to go by, these leaks might just turn out to be accurate.
Starting with the Oppo Find X7, the leaks suggest that the smartphone will feature a 50 MP main camera, possibly using Sony’s LYT-808 sensor. This main snapper is expected to be complemented by a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 64MP telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom, using OmniVision’s OV64B sensor. The Oppo Find X7 Pro and Find X7 Ultra could sport a similar rear camera setup, including a 50MP Sony LYT-900 sensor, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and two periscope telephoto cameras of 50MP each with 3x and 6x optical zoom respectively. These leaks also suggest that Oppo might be releasing the world’s first smartphones with dual periscope telephoto lenses.
In addition to the camera specs, leaks also revealed possible official images of the Oppo Find X7 Pro and/or Ultra’s rear camera, debunking the previous rumor of an octagonal camera design.
The Oppo Find X7 Series is expected to debut in late January or early February next year, so while these leaks have sparked excitement, it’s important to approach them with a reasonable amount of doubt until the devices are officially released.
