Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ official announcement set for January 29
Realme is all set to officially introduce its top-tier mid-range phones – the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ on January 29. Both of these models have been teased for quite some time now and were even showcased at CES 2024 earlier this month, giving us a lot of information about the upcoming handsets.
The Chinese company has confirmed that it will hold a launch event for its Realme 12 Pro series at the end of January. According to the teaser, the phones are expected to come with 50-megapixel main cameras (Sony IMX890 sensor), and 8-megapixel ultra-wide snappers.
Reports suggest that both Realme phones will feature 6.7-inch AMOLED displays with FHD+ and 120Hz refresh rate. The Realme 12 Pro will also come with a 32-megapixel telephoto camera, while the 12 Pro+ model sports a much better 64-megapixel telephoto camera.
One of the key differences between the two mid-range phones is the chipset. The Realme 12 Pro is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, while the 12 Pro+ comes with a better Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 CPU inside.
Realme has decided to cover all price points with its mid-range handsets, offering the 12 Pro series in multiple variants including 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB. The phones will ship with Realme UI 5-based Android 13 and are expected to be available globally at a later date. However, there is no word on their availability in the United States as of now.
