Revamped UI and More Features Come with Pixel Camera 9.2 Rollout for All Pixel Phones

We are excited to announce that Google has recently rolled out the Pixel Camera 9.2 update to all Pixel devices via Google Play. This update brings a revamped user interface with the Brightness, Shadow, and White balance options now accessible from a convenient carousel at the bottom-right corner of the viewfinder.

Pixel 8 users will also notice a new Reset All button on the left for quick adjustments, a feature that was previously available only on the 8 Pro. Additionally, the preferences panel for flash, Top Shot, Timer, Ratio, and more has been moved to a bottom sheet, enhancing user accessibility.

One significant update in the latest release is the Palm timer, which now defaults to activation only when the 3 or 10-second timer is in use, with the option to set it to Always On. There are also new on/off toggles for Ultra HDR and Rich color in photos in the Camera settings > Advanced for older devices, while Pixel 8 owners gain the ability to disable Ultra HDR.

This update is part of Google’s efforts to improve user experience and provide more control over the camera features. It’s worth noting that the camera app was rebranded from Google Camera to Pixel Camera, in line with its exclusive availability on Pixel devices. We are excited to see these new features in action and hope that users will enjoy the enhanced functionality of their Pixel cameras.
