Sonos Issues Apology for iOS App Update, Unveils Exciting Telecommunications Roadmap

Sonos recently released a major update for its iOS app, but the response from users has been less than positive. Many customers have expressed frustration and disappointment with the changes made to the app, including the removal of key features like “Play Next,” “Play Last,” and the ability to search for songs in local/offline music libraries.

In response to the backlash, Sonos CEO Patrick Spence issued a heartfelt apology to customers, acknowledging that the app redesign did not meet expectations. He reassured users that fixing the app and addressing customer concerns are top priorities for the company.

Since the initial release of the redesigned app, Sonos has been working diligently to address user feedback and restore missing features. While progress has been made with several updates already rolled out, there is still work to be done to fully restore functionality.

Looking ahead, Sonos has outlined a roadmap for upcoming updates that will focus on improving stability, responsiveness, and overall user experience. Here’s what customers can expect in the coming months:

– July and August: Improving product stability and implementing Music Library features
– August and September: Enhancing volume responsiveness, making UI improvements based on feedback, and improving system stability
– September: Improving alarm consistency and reliability
– September and October: Restoring edit mode for Playlists and Queue, improving settings functionality

To keep users informed, Sonos will be releasing updates bi-weekly accompanied by detailed notes on what changes are being addressed. Stay tuned for these updates as Sonos continues to work towards creating a more seamless user experience.
