Telecom Giants Rogers, Telus, and Bell Mobilize Aid for Alberta Wildfires • Phones Canada Updates

In response to the devastating wildfires in Jasper, Alberta, Rogers, Telus, and Bell have all stepped up to support the affected communities. Here’s a breakdown of their initiatives:

  • Rogers:

    • Matching all donations up to $100,000 for the Canadian Red Cross 2024 Alberta Wildfires Appeal. Text ROGERS to 20222 to donate.
  • Telus:
    • Providing a 50 GB data top-up for evacuated Telus and Koodo Mobile postpaid customers.
    • Offering a free community crisis hotline at 1-844-751-2133 for emotional support.
    • Donating $100,000 towards wildfire rebuilding efforts in Jasper.
    • Providing disaster kits at evacuation centers.
    • Ensuring SmartHome Security services remain active for customers to monitor their homes remotely.

To support relief efforts further, team members, retirees, and customers can text DONATE to 41010 to give $20 to the Telus Friendly Future Foundation. Customers in Alberta and British Columbia can also redeem their Telus Rewards points for donations.

  • Bell:
    • Acknowledging service interruptions in Jasper due to wildfire damage and working to restore services safely.
    • Apologizing for any inconvenience caused by service disruptions and advising customers to stay safe.
