The probability of Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Max getting delayed is increasing.

Are you eagerly anticipating Apple’s upcoming event called “Wonderlust”? It’s only a week away! If you’re planning to purchase one of the new iPhones as soon as they’re released, you might want to reconsider. There has been a persistent rumor of a delay for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the most advanced member of the iPhone 15 family. It is rumored to start shipping several weeks after its smaller counterparts.

The question on everyone’s mind is, when can we expect the release of these new iPhones? According to a prominent leaker known as Revegnus, the iPhone 15 Pro Max could be delayed by “up to approximately 4 weeks” due to severe yield issues with Sony. This is in relation to Apple’s original production and rollout plans, which are not officially known but can be predicted based on past launches. Last year, the iPhone 13 lineup all started shipping on the same September 24 date after being unveiled on September 14.

Ideally, Apple would have liked to follow a similar schedule this year and release the entire iPhone 15 lineup to early adopters on September 22, shortly after the official launch event. However, if history repeats itself, the iPhone 15 Pro Max could be released a month after the announcement, just like last year’s iPhone 14 Plus. If the predicted delay is accurate, the iPhone 15 Pro Max could reach its first owners around October 13, with pre-orders likely starting on September 15 and a commercial rollout for the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, and 15 Pro on September 22.

Although the delay may not be ideal, it shouldn’t significantly impact the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s popularity. You’ll have plenty of time to get your hands on this impressive device before Thanksgiving or even Christmas.

Now, let’s address the problem and the potential good news. There have been rumors of the iPhone 15 Pro Max featuring a new periscope shooter with up to 6x optical zoom functionality. However, it is unlikely that this feature is the cause of the rumored delay.

If you’re undecided about whether to wait for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, especially considering the speculation of a price increase, we recommend tuning into Apple’s September 12 event. Once you have all the official information, you can make an informed decision about your purchase.

Stay tuned for more updates on the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the rest of the iPhone 15 lineup. It’s an exciting time for Apple enthusiasts!
