Xiaomi has announced that it will discontinue its MIUI operating system and replace it with HyperOS, which will come pre-installed on the latest Xiaomi 14 flagships. To commemorate this change, Xiaomi has released a 3-minute video titled “A Journey through Time – The Evolution of MIUI”, showcasing the evolution of MIUI from its debut in 2010 to the present day.

The video highlights the different versions of MIUI and their defining features through animations and screen captures, providing a nostalgic experience for MIUI enthusiasts.

According to Xiaomi’s announcement on Twitter, a total of eight devices, including the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13T Pro, Xiaomi 13T, Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12S, and Xiaomi Pad 6, will receive the HyperOS upgrade in the first three months of 2024. Additionally, the Poco F5 is also expected to receive the update in Q1 2024.

It is anticipated that the update will be rolled out in waves, with some devices receiving it sooner than others. Stay tuned for more information on the launch of HyperOS.
