It was announced a few months ago that Google Podcasts would be discontinued, and this week Google revealed the steps for users to transition to YouTube Music, which will replace Podcasts in early April 2024. In a recent blog post, Google announced the rollout of a tool to help migrate subscriptions from Google Podcasts to YouTube Music, as well as the option to export subscriptions for use in other podcast apps.

The migration tool will be available to users in the US in the coming weeks, accessible through a banner at the top of the screen in Google Podcasts. Users will have the option to export Google Podcasts subscriptions as an OPML file that can be uploaded to any other podcast app that supports uploads.

It’s important to note that Google Podcasts will still be available for podcast listening in the US through March 2024, and users will have until July 2024 to migrate or export their subscriptions.
