OnePlus has officially announced that its highly anticipated foldable device, the OnePlus Open, will be unveiled on October 19. This comes after months of speculations and hints about the device’s design and capabilities. The OnePlus Open is set to rival Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5.
It’s important to note that this is different from the previously confirmed launch date for the Oppo Find N3, which is designed primarily for the Chinese market. The OnePlus Open, on the other hand, will be released in major European countries, India, and the US.
The official launch event for the OnePlus Open will take place in Mumbai, with pre-orders beginning on October 19. Customers can already subscribe for a chance to win a free OnePlus Open unit and receive a $50 credit. Those who pre-order next week will also enjoy exclusive benefits, including a complimentary pair of OnePlus Buds Pro 2, up to $1,000 instant trade-in credit, and a guaranteed $200 discount when trading in any device in any condition in the US.
While OnePlus has kept some details under wraps, there have been numerous leaks and authorized first-look videos and teasers that have given us a good idea of the device’s design and specifications.
Stay tuned for more updates on the OnePlus Open as we approach its official unveiling on October 19.
