OnePlus is gearing up for the launch of its first foldable phone in collaboration with Oppo. However, while we wait for that, leaks continue to emerge about another highly-anticipated OnePlus device – the flagship OnePlus 12. Recent leaks have painted an exciting picture of this device, and now there is even more exciting news.
According to a reputable leaker on the Chinese social media website Weibo, OnePlus is planning to use a larger and brighter display panel for the OnePlus 12. The leaker claims that the peak brightness of the display will reach an impressive 2,600 nits. To put that into perspective, the newly announced Pixel 8 caps at 2,400 nits, while the iPhone 15 Pro reaches around 2,000 nits in outdoor use. So, it’s safe to say that the OnePlus 12 will offer a remarkably bright display.
Rumors suggest that the display will be a 6.82-inch LTPO panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, which aligns with previous expectations. The display is rumored to be slightly larger than its predecessor, the OnePlus 11, which featured a 6.7-inch display.
In addition to the display information, the leaker also provided details about other aspects of the upcoming OnePlus 12. It is said that the device will come with up to 24GB of RAM, a truly impressive amount. While this may be considered somewhat unnecessary for a phone, even for heavy multitaskers, OnePlus is reportedly offering a version with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Base models with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, as well as 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, are also expected. Furthermore, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which comes as no surprise considering OnePlus flagships always feature the latest and greatest chips.
With all these leaks and rumors, it’s clear that OnePlus has something exciting in store for its fans with the OnePlus 12. We can’t wait to see what this flagship device will offer in terms of display quality, performance, and overall user experience. Stay tuned for more updates on the OnePlus 12 as they become available.
