Verizon’s Galaxy A14 5G Receives Android 14 Update

Samsung’s Galaxy A14, one of the most affordable 5G smartphones launched last year, is now receiving an update to Android 14. Currently, Verizon units in the US are the first to receive the update, but we anticipate that it will soon be available for all other models.

If you are a Verizon customer and own the Galaxy A14 5G, you should look for firmware version A146USQU5CWL6 (via SamMobile). This update will bring your phone’s software to Android 14 and add the December 2023 security patch, the latest released by Google.

The budget-friendly Galaxy A14 5G, which debuted on the market a year ago, is receiving its first major Android update. Despite its low cost (less than $200), the Galaxy A14 5G boasts some impressive specs, including a 6.6-inch PLS FHD+ display, a triple camera setup (50MP + 2MP + 2MP), and a large 5,000 mAh battery. Under the hood, the Galaxy A14 5G is powered by an Exynos 1330 processor and comes in configurations of 4/64GB, 4/128GB, 6/128GB, or 8/128GB.

For anyone in the market for an affordable 5G phone, the Galaxy A14 is a solid option, especially when on sale. With the update to Android 14, it becomes an even more appealing device.
