Sustainability Report 2024
What changed in our operation this year, and what it saved.
Refurbishment moved closer to the device
Through 2024 we shifted in-house refurbishment toward specialist recycling and refurbishment partners in Hong Kong and Dubai. Processing devices in the region they were collected in cuts freight legs, shortens turnaround, and puts the work with teams whose facilities are already built for high-volume component recovery.
100,000 tablets back into classrooms
Working with education partners, roughly 100,000 recycled tablets were tested, wiped and redeployed into learning programs instead of being scrapped. Devices that no longer hold resale value in the wholesale market still have years of classroom life left.
A smarter warehouse
AI-assisted warehouse management now drives inventory placement, pick routing and lighting and climate scheduling across our Mississauga facility. Measured against 2023, energy consumption fell by roughly 23% while throughput rose.
AI repair assistance
An AI repair assistant helps technicians and repair-shop customers identify faults and the right parts faster, which raises first-time fix rates and reduces the number of devices written off as unrepairable.
Reforestation and conservation
Every order shipped funds a tree planted. Alongside that, we adopt a gorilla every quarter, four a year since our founding in November 2020, supporting habitat protection in Central Africa.
