Question 1

What is the minimum order?

Accepted Answer

20 units, and you can mix models and grades freely within it.

Question 2

Do I need a business to buy?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we sell to verified wholesale buyers: resellers, repair shops, distributors and enterprises.

Question 3

Do I need a business licence?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Phones Canada sells business-to-business only, so verification requires business registration details.

Question 4

How do I see live stock?

Accepted Answer

Create a free account at buy.phonescanada.com for real-time inventory and pricing.

Question 5

Are prices negotiable at volume?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pallet-level buyers work directly with an account manager on pricing.

Question 6

Can I see a manifest before buying?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Manifests are published for auction lots before bidding opens, and your account manager can provide a manifest for catalogue orders.

Question 7

Can I buy a single carrier auction lot?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Auction lots are sold as complete lots with a published manifest, separate from the 20-unit catalogue minimum. Bidding requires a deposit on file, and bids cannot be cancelled once placed.

Question 8

Can I buy without bidding at auction?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our live inventory is a pooled catalogue across every warehouse in the network, so you can buy named models at named grades on demand, with no deposit and no waiting for a lot to close.

Question 9

How fast do orders ship?

Accepted Answer

Within 3 to 5 business days of cleared payment, subject to availability.

Question 10

Do I need to wait for an auction?

Accepted Answer

No. Live inventory is on demand. If a model shows quantity available, you can buy it at the listed price without waiting for a lot to open or close.

Question 11

Do catalogue orders need a deposit?

Accepted Answer

No. Deposits apply to auction bidding only. Catalogue orders are invoiced and settled normally, with a 20-unit minimum order.

Question 12

Can I mix models from different warehouses in one order?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The catalogue is pooled across every warehouse, so a single order can draw from several of them and still ships as one consolidated shipment.

Question 13

Will grading differ between warehouses?

Accepted Answer

No. One published grading standard applies to every warehouse in the network. You get what you pay for, and often better.

Question 14

How long before a catalogue order ships?

Accepted Answer

Orders ship within 3 to 5 business days of cleared payment. Where units need to move to a shipping hub first, your account manager confirms the timing when the order is placed.

Question 15

Do I need a deposit to bid?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every buyer needs a deposit on file before any bid is placed, with a minimum of $5,000 USD. Your bidding limit is 5x the deposit, so $5,000 allows up to $25,000 of live bids, and the multiplier can be raised or lowered for established accounts.

Question 16

Why is a deposit required?

Accepted Answer

Phones Canada holds the accounts on the carrier and retail auction platforms and places your bid there on your behalf. A winning bid means we have bought the lot for you and cannot cancel it, so the deposit secures that commitment.

Question 17

What happens if I don't pay for a winning lot?

Accepted Answer

Your access to the platform is terminated and the deposit is not returned; it is applied toward restocking and processing costs on the lot we purchased for you, and we may pursue any remaining shortfall.

Question 18

Do I get my deposit back?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once your invoices are paid in full, the deposit is credited against an invoice or returned on request to the original bank account it came from.

Question 19

How long do I have to pay after winning?

Accepted Answer

Invoices are due within 2 business days of lot close unless otherwise arranged.

Question 20

Can international buyers bid?

Accepted Answer

Question 21

How accurate are manifests?

Accepted Answer

Manifests reflect tested condition at listing. Discrepancies are covered under our Auction Policy.

Question 22

When do auction devices ship?

Accepted Answer

Question 24

Are the iPhones unlocked or carrier locked?

Accepted Answer

Both are available. Every listing states its lock status, and carrier-locked stock is priced lower. Unlocking is available as a separate service.

Question 25

How are the iPhones graded?

Accepted Answer

Every unit is powered on, function tested and cosmetically graded A through D against published definitions, then data wiped before shipping.
