Sustainability Report 2025
A year of scale: a new optimised facility, hubs in Pakistan and Senegal, lighter packaging, and over 100,000 devices kept in working life. Earlier editions are available as the 2024 and 2023 reports.
Executive summary
2025 was a year of scale. We moved into a new, purpose-optimised facility, opened processing hubs in two new regions, and put more than 100,000 devices back into working life instead of the scrap stream. Every part of the operation was measured against the same question: how much useful hardware can we keep in circulation, and how little can we spend getting it there.
Device life extension
Over 100,000 devices were tested, graded, repaired where needed and diverted from scrap during the year. Reuse remains the single most effective environmental lever available to us: a device returned to service avoids the entire manufacturing footprint of its replacement, and our grading process exists to make that outcome the default rather than the exception.
A new, more efficient facility
We relocated to a new facility designed around the way we actually process inventory. Receiving, testing, grading and outbound packing now sit in a single optimised flow, which cut handling time per unit, reduced internal movement, and lowered the energy drawn per device shipped. Lighting, climate zoning and equipment scheduling were all specified with consumption in mind rather than inherited from the previous site.
Global processing footprint
We added recycling and testing hubs in Pakistan and Senegal, joining our existing operations in Hong Kong and Dubai. Processing closer to where devices are collected and resold shortens transport legs, reduces shipping emissions per unit, and keeps repairable hardware inside its own regional market rather than flying it across the world twice.
Packaging
We switched to a lighter protective mailer: unbeatable protection in a convenient, lightweight bag, built around non-abrasive 1/8" polyethylene foam. The change cut packaging weight and dimensional volume per shipment, which reduces both material use and the fuel burned carrying it.
Community involvement
We donated 10,000 devices through schools and community programs during the year, alongside our standing commitments: a tree planted for every order shipped, gorilla adoptions supporting wildlife conservation, and phone donations to people who need them.
Certifications and downstream partners
Through 2025 our downstream partners strengthened their certification positions across ISO 14001, RIOS and R2. That gained trust on both sides and let us integrate more deeply with their services, so end-of-life material moves into audited, certified processing rather than an untracked waste stream.
Looking ahead
The priorities for the coming year are clear: keep raising the share of devices repaired rather than written off, pursue ISO 14001 and RIOS certification for our own facilities, and extend the regional hub model so more devices are processed close to where they are used.
