Apple’s highly anticipated iPhone 15 launch event is just around the corner, but it seems like all the surprises may have already been revealed. According to renowned Apple pundit Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max are set to be unveiled soon, and we have all the details.
While Apple is not planning any radical design changes for this year’s lineup, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will feature a “modern” Dynamic Island design similar to the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will also introduce super-robust titanium to their stainless steel construction, making them more durable and lighter.
The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will have slightly larger screens compared to their predecessors, thanks to slimmer bezels. On the other hand, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will sport regular bezels and similar design elements to the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus. The non-Pro models are expected to come in a wide range of colors, while the Pro models will be available in gray, black, dark blue, and white.
In terms of under-the-hood upgrades, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will feature the new Apple A17 chip based on 3-nanometer technology, offering faster performance and improved energy efficiency. The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will come with the A16 chip, which is built on 4nm technology. Both chips will contribute to better battery life.
Wireless charging speeds will also be improved across the entire iPhone 15 series, but only the Pro models will benefit from faster wired charging. Additionally, the Pro models will feature a new U2 ultra-wideband chip for enhanced location capabilities.
On the camera front, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have an updated telephoto system with a periscope sensor, offering optical zoom capabilities of up to 6X. The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will borrow the primary 48MP rear-facing camera from the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 15 Pro will feature new telephoto and ultrawide lenses with higher megapixels.
Although the Bloomberg report does not mention specific retail prices, a recent report from TrendForce sheds light on the pricing details for the iPhone 15 series.
Please note that these details are based on unofficial information, so it’s advisable to approach them with caution until Apple makes an official announcement. Stay tuned for more updates.
