Apple’s upcoming “Scary fast” event is scheduled for Monday evening, offering a unique timing for Apple enthusiasts. The event will feature pre-recorded announcements starting at 5 pm PDT, which translates to 8 pm EDT. Exciting rumors suggest that Apple will introduce new M3-powered Macs, including the highly anticipated 24-inch iMac and MacBook Pro. Apple has designed the M3 chipset, with manufacturing support from TSMC’s N3B 3nm process node.
To generate excitement for the event, Apple is sending gift boxes to selected influencers. These gift boxes contain free over-ear AirPods Max headphones, valued at $549, along with delightful and Halloween-themed snacks and drinks. Influencers can enjoy these treats while watching the “Scary fast” event on Monday night. The event’s name not only relates to Halloween, which falls on Tuesday, but also highlights the impressive performance of the M3 SoC.
While it is less likely, speculations suggest that Apple may also unveil three new iPad models during Monday evening’s event. These models were initially rumored to be announced on October 17th, accompanied by a new third-generation Apple Pencil supporting USB-C charging. However, only the new Apple Pencil was introduced, leaving fans eager for the new iPads. The anticipated lineup includes a new 11th-generation basic iPad model, an M2-powered iPad Air (with an upgrade from the M1 chip), and the seventh-generation iPad mini featuring the A16 Bionic chipset.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, in his weekly newsletter called “Power On,” has reported that these new iPads are set to launch in March. Additionally, each model is expected to receive a specifications boost. Notably, Apple is also planning a separate event for the introduction of the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models with OLED displays, which is projected to occur in 2024, after the release of the other three models in March.
