Exciting News: Google Set to Begin Pixel Manufacturing in India!

Google is gearing up to produce Pixel devices in India, with plans to export them to the EU and the US. Reports suggest that production will kick off soon, marking a significant move for the tech giant.

In late 2023, Google announced its intention to start manufacturing Pixel devices in India by 2024. Although production has yet to commence, progress is underway with locations already selected for this purpose.

According to a recent Money Control report, Google is set to begin trial production of Pixel devices in India. The company aims to produce ‘lower-tier’ Pixels like the Pixel 9 with Dixon Technologies, an Indian electronics manufacturer. Meanwhile, Foxconn will handle the production of Pro-branded Pixel phones in India.

Rumor has it that full-scale production will start in September following Google’s official announcement of the new Pixel phones on August 13. Most of these devices are expected to be exported to the EU and US markets due to higher demand compared to India.

Diversifying production across multiple countries not only reduces the risk of delays but also provides more job opportunities for people worldwide. Establishing manufacturing facilities in India represents a strategic move for Google as it expands its global operations.
