Google introduces a new method for accessing free channels on Android TV devices.

Google has introduced a new way for Android TV users in the United States to access over 115 free channels on Google TV. These channels offer a wide range of content, including local news, movies, and sports, without the need for downloads or subscriptions.

The new shortcut to free channels will be added to the Favorite Apps row on the home screen of Android TV devices. This optional feature aims to make it easier for users to find and access the free channels available on Google TV.

In addition to the new shortcut, users can also find free content from other providers, such as Pluto TV, Tubi, Plex, and Haystack News, in the Live tab. This makes it a one-stop destination for those looking for free TV content from various sources.

The new shortcut for free channels will automatically appear on the home screen of Android TV devices in the US, with Google potentially rolling out this feature to more countries in the future. Keep an eye out for this convenient functionality if you’re in the US.
