Motorola is gearing up to release the Moto G Play (2024), the next iteration of their budget-friendly smartphone. The new renders of the device, created by OnLeaks and SMARTmania, show that the phone will feature a 50MP primary camera, a significant upgrade from the previous model. The new version will also have an 8MP front-facing camera.
The Moto G Play (2024) will maintain the 6.5-inch display size, but with a higher FHD+ (1080p) resolution. The phone will continue to feature a 90Hz refresh rate and a 5000mAh battery, with an increased 15W charging speed. The new model is rumored to replace the MediaTek Helio chip with a Snapdragon one, although it is unclear if it will support 5G connectivity.
In terms of software, the Moto G Play (2024) is expected to come with Android 13, a bump up from the previous Android 12. The new version of the phone will also see an increase in RAM to 4GB and storage doubling to 64GB. The rumored U.S. price for the phone is set at $169, with a potential unveiling next month.
