WatchOS 10.2 will bring back a popular and useful feature to the Apple Watch

Apple had initially removed a feature in watchOS 10 that allowed users to change the watch face by swiping on the display. This didn’t sit well with Apple Watch owners, and it has now been reinstated in watchOS 10.2 beta 3. Once the new update is installed, you can enable this feature by going to Settings > Clock and select your preferred method for changing watch faces.

You can also set up watch faces to swipe to through the Watch app on your iPhone and create alternate watch faces for different occasions. By setting your Apple Watch to enable “Swipe to Switch Watch Face,” you can quickly go through the watch faces you’ve set up with a simple swipe on the display.

It’s not entirely clear why Apple removed this feature in the first place, especially since swiping the screen in watchOS 10 doesn’t have any other function. However, the company must have received enough feedback from Apple Watch users who missed this convenient way to change the watch face.
