Discover the Latest iOS 18 Features: Record Phone Calls, Transcriptions, and AI Summaries for iPhone Users!

Exciting news for iPhone users! Thanks to AI technology, Apple is set to introduce a new feature with iOS 18 that will allow users to record, transcribe, and even receive summaries of phone conversations. Here’s what you need to know:

– During a phone call, the Phone app will have a button that, when pressed, will start recording the conversation. The other party/parties on the call will receive a notification that the call is being recorded.
– It’s important to note that iPhone users must follow local laws regarding recording calls and consent may be required before capturing the call.
– While recording, the Phone app will display a soundwave indicating the length of the recording. The conversation will be transcribed in real-time in the Notes app and users can also receive a summary of the call created by Apple Intelligence.
– In addition to the Phone app, users can also record, transcribe, and summarize calls directly from the Notes app.
– The feature will be available for Apple iPhone 12 and later models in English, Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, and Portuguese.

This new feature was briefly mentioned by Craig Federighi during WWDC Keynote. It’s still unclear if there are any restrictions on recordings – such as being limited to calls between iPhone users or compatible with other smartphone brands. More details are expected before iOS 18 is officially released in September.

Recording and transcribing live calls is an exciting addition for iPhone users. Don’t overlook the convenience of receiving AI-created summaries as well – perfect for recalling important details from past conversations.

The iOS 18 beta is currently available for developers and will be open to the public next month. If you’re eager to try out these new features early, consider joining the beta program. However, keep in mind that beta releases may have some instability issues so waiting for the final version might be your best option.

Stay tuned for more updates on this innovative feature coming soon to your iPhone!
