Samsung is reportedly planning to release a new Galaxy A55 in 2024 featuring the Exynos 1480 chipset. This new mid-range phone is expected to offer improved CPU performance over its predecessor, the Galaxy A54. The Exynos 1480 Geekbench performance test revealed a single-core CPU score of 1,180 points and a multi-core CPU score of 3,536 points, which is an improvement over the scores achieved by the Galaxy A54’s Exynos 1380 chipset.
The Galaxy A55 is also expected to feature an Xclipse 530 GPU, 25W fast charging, and a 5,000 mAh battery, similar to the Galaxy A54. Rumors suggest that the phone will have a 50 MP primary camera, similar to its predecessor. While an official release date has not yet been announced, sources expect the Galaxy A55 to be unveiled in March 2024.
