Get the Scoop on the Retro-inspired Camera Bump of the Rumoured iPhone 16 | Phones Canada

Apple has been making waves with its upcoming iPhone 16, as rumors suggest a new and improved design for the highly anticipated device. According to reports from MacRumors, the latest prototype features a vertical camera arrangement with a distinctive pill-shaped bump, giving us a glimpse of what’s to come.

The new design showcases two separate camera rings for the Wide and Ultrawide lenses, drawing from the aesthetic elements of previous prototypes. This design is reminiscent of the iPhone X from 2017, which had a similar-looking rear camera bump. Apple’s commitment to the vertical camera setup remains strong, with no alterations to the placement of the flash or camera lenses in this most recent update.

The change from a square bump to a pill shape suggests potential improvements in video capabilities. There are expectations that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models will introduce Spatial Video recording across the lineup to support viewing on the Vision Pro. Currently, only iPhone 15 Pro models can record Spatial Video.

But that’s not all – based on rumors, there may be more exciting features in store for the iPhone 16. A smaller Action Button is expected to debut, alongside a Capture Button built into the side frame.

It’s important to note that these details are based on pre-production prototypes and things can always change before the main iPhone launch expected later this fall. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the official release date.
