Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 6, showcasing a sleeker design this year. The latest model is thinner than its predecessor, with measurements of 5.6mm when opened and 12.1mm when closed.
Honor, a former sub-unit of Huawei, took to Twitter to highlight the thin profile of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 compared to its own foldable device, the Honor Magic V2. The Honor Magic V2 boasts impressive dimensions, measuring 4.7mm thick when opened and 9.9mm when closed – making it the thinnest foldable available.
But the excitement doesn’t stop there – Honor is set to unveil the even thinner Magic V3 tomorrow, teasing an even slimmer design than its predecessor.
While the Galaxy Z Fold 6 offers features like wireless charging and an IP48 rating for dust and water protection, the Honor Magic V2 currently lacks these functionalities. However, Honor plans to introduce wireless charging and an IPX8 rating with its upcoming Magic V3 model.
Interestingly, despite sporting a larger 5000mAh battery compared to the Z Fold 6’s 4400mAh battery, the Honor Magic V2 remains thinner and lighter than Samsung’s offering.
Honor’s playful tweet aimed at Samsung after their recent Unpacked event serves as a teaser for their upcoming event. Stay tuned for more exciting developments from Honor!
